Man found unconscious in Limerick dies

A post mortem will be carried out later today on the body of a man who died in hospital last night following a suspected assault in Limerick city on Friday night.

The 45-year-old victim was found lying unconscious with severe head injuries in a laneway between Parnell Street and Dominic Street.

Gardai at Roxboro Station have appealed for anyone with information about what happened to the man to come forward.
