Defence Forces reject reports of bullying

The Defence Forces Chief of Staff has rejected out of hand reports that female Army, Navy and Aer Corps members are being bullied and sexually harassed.

A spokesperson for Lieutenant General Colm Mangan says strict instructions are in place to deal with interpersonal relations, including bullying and sexual harassment.

He also says the Defence Forces do not accept or tolerate breaches of conduct which may damage military discipline and morale.
