Grant aid announced for regional airports

The Public Enterprise Minister, Mary O'Rourke, has announced grant aid of £1.5m for the country's six regional airports.

The funding for airports in Sligo, Knock, Galway, Waterford, Farranfore and Carrickfin is to be used to tighten security and safety arrangements.

It will also be used for promotional and marketing campaigns.
