Climber injured on Croagh Patrick

A woman has been taken to Castlebar Hospital after she was rescued from Croagh Patrick this evening.

The woman was part of a group from Wicklow, who were climbing near the summit, when she fell and sustained head injuries.

The Mayo Mountain Rescue Team stretchered the woman, who it's believed was drifting in and out of consciousness, to the base of the mountain.
