40lb bomb found at Belfast Airport
British Army technical experts have discovered 40lb of home-made explosives in a car abandoned in a car-park at Belfast International Airport.
Two controlled explosions were carried out on the Volvo estate, which was fitted with false number plates.
The car was abandoned opposite the main terminal at the airport, in Aldergrove.
The RUC were alerted to the car following two bomb warnings, one to a Catholic priest.
