Reid warns UDA over increased attacks

Northern Secretary John Reid has warned the UDA that its members will face criminal charges if he finds evidence that it has broken its ceasefire.

Emerging from talks with RUC chief constable Ronnie Flanagan this afternoon, Dr Reid said: "I give this warning to the UDA and ask them to reflect upon it: I'm keeping their ceasefire under constant review and I have asked the chief constable to give me a report in a week's time offering his full assessment of the UDA ceasefire."
