Labour calls for automatic compensation for disabled new-borns

The Labour Party has called for the establishment of a no-fault compensation system to aid the parents of children born with disabilities.

The call follows a Supreme Court ruling today that left a Cork family with a £3m legal bill following a failed damages claim against a doctor.
