Family escapes pipe-bomb attack

A family of four escaped injury during a pipe-bomb attack on their home in Co Antrim this morning.

The device was left on the living room window sill at the family's home on Larne Road in the village of Eden, near Carrickfergus.

The window and frame were damaged in the blast and the RUC said a number of items were removed from the scene for examination.
