Heat wave expected this weekend

Met Eireann has predicted that this weekend will be the hottest of the year so far, with temperatures due to surpass 26C in some places.

The heat wave, which is expected to last until early next week, comes as thousands of tourists leave Ireland for their annual holiday in the sun.
