Sea swells making crewman search difficult

Choppy waters will make the search for a missin g QE2 crewman difficult, according to the rescue team.

Peter Bullard, watch manager of Falmouth Coastguard, said it would be a long and difficult search.

‘‘The sea conditions out there are moderate, about force 5, but when you are looking for a person in the water in those weather conditions, even sighting someone in Falmouth bay would be difficult.

‘‘Out in the middle of the Atlantic it is a very long hope unfortunately.’’
