Delay in setting Nevin appeal date

Lawyers for convicted murderer Catherine Nevin have sought access to State documents before they can go ahead with her appeal.

It was hoped that a date for appeal could be set today.

However the issue of the disclosure of documents will now go to hearing in November.

Mrs Nevin is now 15 months into a life sentence for the murder of her husband, Tom, their Co Wicklow pub in 1996.
