The chief executive of the bank which gave a loan to a company, of which Michael Lowry was the director, has told the Moriarty Tribunal that he was so concerned about the loan's sanctioning, he contacted the Central Bank.

Ian Wohlman said he was not prepared to allow the stg£420,000 loan on the basis presented in 1999 and needed more tangible security.
