Hostility to travellers still high - report

New research out today indicates there is still considerable hostility towards the travelling community despite two years of the Government's high-profile public awareness campaign.

Traveller's Organisations say the failure of local authoritites to provide any accommodation for over a thousand traveller families is partly to blame for unfavourable attitudes towards the travelling community.
