Dublin must learn from Bradford racial violence
There are mounting calls for political action here to ensure that the race riots that are occurring in Bradford and other British cities are not repeated on the streets of Ireland.
The deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin says that the Dublin Corporation should pay close attention to the report into the racial problems in Bradford and take action before similar scenes are witnessed in Dublin.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Eric Byrne says that there are signs of ghettoisation with thousands of asylum seekers being packed into some of the cities poorest areas.
Mr Byrne says that Dublin must take points from the Bradford report that offers suggestions as to how to defuse racial tension and employ them.
