Two men die in Co Kildare crash

Two men have died in a car crash in Co Kildare, bringing the overnight death toll on Ireland’s roads to three.

The two men died when their car went out of control and hit a wall at Kilmeague, on the outskirts of Naas, at around 4.05am.

Another person is in a serious condition in hospital following the crash.

Earlier today, a Co Longford man in his 60s was killed in a hit-and-run at Kenagh, on the main Longford to Ballymahon road.

Gardai believe he was struck by a white car and they have appealed for any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
