Autopsies due on drowned Irish couple

Autopsies will be performed today on the bodies of two Irish tourists who died in a Sardinian hotel swimming pool.

Gerard O’Brien, 29, and Barbara Mary Reeves, 26, drowned on Tuesday afternoon in a hotel in the resort of Alghero, said police spokesman Efevio Olla.
