Half of donations go on commission: Quinn

Senator Fergal Quinn has called for street collectors to carry information telling people how much of their money goes to the charity and how much of it goes to the collector .

He claimed that up to 50% of all charitable donations made to street collectors went on commission.

Senator Quinn has urged the Minister for Justice to revise the Charities Bill to make this practice more transparent.
