Call for change on immigration policy
The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association has said that Ireland needs to revise its policy on immigration.
The ISME claims that Ireland now has a virtual open door to immigration and says our policies need to be updated because of a possible downturn in the economy.
ISME chairman Sean Hannick said immigration must be controlled to prevent an escalation of regional umemployment.
'We feel that it nees to be monitored and we need to rethink the situation because of the downturn in the economy,' he said.
