ATM machines may fail with Euro introduction

There are warnings that up to one in five bank machines could be switched off at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve as the Euro currency arrives.

Talks are underway at the European Parliament for traditional January sales to be delayed until the crisis can be sorted out.
