Family escapes Belfast bomb attack

A woman and her two young children had a lucky escape last night when an incendiary device was thrown at their house in north Belfast.

A woman and her two young children had a lucky escape last night when an incendiary device was thrown at their house in north Belfast.

The house on Deerpark Road suffered some minor damage and a number of windows were broken during the attack shortly after midnight.

Elsewhere, the RUC is investigating a pipe bomb attack in the Peter's Hill area of Belfast last night.

The device exploded in a yard at the rear of a premises in the area. There are no reports of any injuries.
