The parents of Catholic children attending Holycross School in Ardoyne, north Belfast were turned back from the school gates for a sixth time this morning by a crowd of loyalists.

Last night the parents held a meeting to discuss proposals from the loyalists on how to end the blockade.

They proposed parents take their children to school via another route this week and that a forum over the summer meet to discuss the intimidation of Protestant residents.

However, the Catholic parents said they had no power to resolve the allegations of intimidation.
