Hundreds of Co Louth farmers, who are angry at the compensation they received after the slaughter of their animals in foot-and-mouth measures, have stepped up their protest.

The farmers are this morning protesting at the Ballymascanlon roundabout in Dundalk, following on from their march on the Dail on Wednesday.
