Carlow accident kills two in their twenties

A man and a woman in their late twenties have been killed in a road accident at Ballykiely, in Ballon, Co Carlow.

The two-car head-on collision happened shortly after 5.30pm this evening.

Two others were seriously injured in the crash.

There are reports that children were injured in the accident.

Two ambulance crews worked along with the fire brigade from Tullow and Carlow worked to free the injured.
