Unions dismiss Ispat claims

Four hundred workers at the Irish Ispat steel plant in Cork to discuss the shock announcement that the company is shutting down its operation.

SIPTU's Joe O'Flynn said they don't accept that shutting down the plant is inevitable.

He also rejected suggestions by ISPAT that trade union officials didn't help efforts at cutting costs at the plant.
