Go-slow protest over condition of motorway to the West
Drivers travelling between Dublin and the West of Ireland will face disruption over the weekend because of a major protest demonstration that has been organised by the Western Roads Action Committee.
The group plans to use up to 100 trucks to take part in a go-slow protest to highlight the poor condition of the National Primary route from Dublin to Roscommon and Mayo, the N5.
The convoy is expected to converge in Ballaghadereen at about half past two on Sunday. The group says that the roads will not be closed but that drivers should expect delays.
