Fishing fleet to receive £75m aid package

The Government has launched a £75m investment package for the introduction of new and modern second-hand fishing vessels and for the modernisation of the existing fleet.

The Minister for the Marine, Frank Fahy, announced the measures in Waterford today. A special grant scheme for young fishermen and women under 35 years is also being introduced for the first time.
