Foley may return to courts over sacking

Sacked Aer Lingus chief executive Michael Foley is today expected to open discussions with his advisors in relation to the legal avenues open to him to clear his name.

It is thought he will once again take his fight to the Four Courts to try to prove he is not guilty of the sexual harrassment allegations upon foot of which he was dismissed.

Mr Foley has protested his innocence for the past two months, and despite a reported £350,000 pay-off, seems determined to fight on.

Meanwhile, company chairman Bernie Cahill is to continue as acting chief executive while Aer Lingus attempts to fill the position for the third time in three years.
