Aer Lingus announce that Foley has been fired

Michael Foley's employment with Aer Lingus has been terminated.

The committee of the Aer Lingus board has concluded that his position as chief executive of the company is untenable.

Mr Bernie Cahill will continue as chief executive until a permanent appointment is made.
