Trimble repeats crisis threat
The North’s First Minister David Trimble has repeated his determination to cause a crisis in the institutions if decommissioning is not delivered.
He was speaking after talks at Downing Street with Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Mr Trimble says he underlined strongly to Mr Blair that if decommissioning does not happen he is "determined to follow through in terms of drawing a line and causing a crisis in the institutions by resigning".
He says the British Government must avoid being drawn into another "bogus negotiation" with Republicans attempting to "sell the same horse for the fifth, sixth or even seventh time".
A spokesman for the Prime Minister said there was "deep hurt" felt by unionists over policing reform and added that the symbols and insignia of the RUC should be retained.
