O' Brien criticises Eircom board

Former Esat boss Denis O' Brien has slammed the Eircom board over their decision to accept the Valentia offer for their fixed line business.

Mr O' Brien is giving evidence at the Moriarty Tribunal this morning.

Speaking as he entered the tribunal, he said that the 500,000 Eircom shareholders deserved an explanation.

He is appearing at the tribunal in connection with a £50,000 payment to Fine Gael in 1995.
