Good polling for DUP and Sinn Fein in local elections

First results from the North's local elections show a similar pattern of good polling for the Democratic Unionist Party and Sinn Fein as seen in the general election.

With 658 seats up for election in 26 district councils, it is too early to say whether the results will further damage Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble.
