Ireland says yes to last two refereda
The Irish people voted in three different referenda yesterday - the Nice Treaty, the abolition of the death penalty and the International Criminal Court - but only 34 per cent of the possible 2.8 million people voted.
The rejection of the Nice Treaty has already been well publicised and debated but the Irish people approved of getting rid of the death penalty by over 61 per cent and passed obtaining membership of the International Criminal Court by over 64 per cent.
