Northern Ireland faces long wait for results

Northern Ireland went to the polls today to vote in an election which could determine the future of the Good Friday Agreement.

As the first trickle of voters cast their ballots soon after polling stations opened, it was clear it would be a good 24 hours before the first of 18 results would be declared.
