New criteria for medical card qualification needed: FG

Fine Gael has called on the Government to bring about a major improvement in the guidelines of the country’s health boards in relation to the granting of medical cards.

The party’s spokesperson on health, Michael Ring, says that the guidelines have not been increased in line with inflation, meaning that many people have lost their entitlement to free medical care from the State.
