Govt to donate £1.25m to UN Human Rights office

The Government has announced that it will donate £1.25m to the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The Government has announced that it will donate £1.25m to the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Minister of State, Liz O’Donnell, announced the contribution to the office of the former President, Mary Robinson, today.

The contribution is almost double that of last year and the Government has also promised donations of £1.7m and £2m in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
