Taoiseach denies abortion referendum on way

The Taoiseach is denying that he has given a commitment to independent TDs Mildred Fox and Harry Blaney to hold a referendum on abortion.

Bertie Ahern told the Dáil this afternoon that he still believes abortion is an issue that should be dealt with.
