Shatter slams Justice plan for sex offenders

Justice Minister John O'Donoghue has come in for sharp criticism from Fine Gael for the extent of his plan to increase sentences for sex offenders.

"The Minister failed to state that the required legislation to be sponsored by him is not yet published and has little likelihood of being enacted before next year," said Fine Gael TD Alan Shatter.
