Search continues for 'tied up' woman

The search is continuing in Co Wicklow for a woman reportedly abandoned and tied to a tree.

Gardai launched the search after an anonymous caller claimed to have seen the woman tied up beside Blessington Lake in Co Wicklow.

"The search is continuing this evening but is likely to be scaled down later. We are not yet able to say whether this was a hoax call," said a garda spokesman.

"There is as yet no sign of the woman," he added.

The Garda helicopter unit and dog units from both Dublin and Cork are involved in the search which began last night and continues today.
