Mitchell urges Mid-East to follow North's lead
George Mitchell has said the North is an example to Israelis and Palestinians of how seemingly unresolvable conflicts can be ended.
The former US Senator said he cited the Belfast Agreement as the way forward during his talks with both sides recently.
Mitchell is in Dublin today and has held talks with the Taoiseach at Government Buildings.
He said the people of the North had demonstrated that age-old disputes that are both religious and political in nature can be successfully addressed.
