Woman and children in petrol-bombed house
A woman and her four children narrowly escaped injury in a petrol bomb attack on her home in Limerick in the early hours of today.
Gardai say up to five men were involved in the incident, in which two petrol bombs were thrown at the front door of the house in the Lee estate on the city's Island Rd.
Shots were also fired at the house. However, both devices failed to ignite and nobody was injured.
The incident is believed to be part of an ongoing feud in the city.
Gardai in Co Clare are also investigating a separate attack in Clonlara in which another petrol bomb was thrown through the sitting room window of a house.
No one was injured in the attack either.
