Wallace slams Greens on anti-Nice campaign
The Minister for State at the Department of the Environment, Dan Wallace, has criticised the Green Party for campaigning for a No vote in the upcoming referendum on the Treaty of Nice.
Deputy Wallace said an expanded EU would give countries in eastern Europe the opportunities that Ireland enjoyed when it joined in the 1970s.
He added that many of these countries were in urgent need of support, especially in the area of the environment, making it "hypocritical" of the Greens to go against the Nice Treaty.
