O'Donnell criticised for 'blind bigotry' comments
A senior Co Donegal priest has described as "blind bigotry" Junior Foreign Affairs Minister Liz O'Donnell's remarks, in which she said the Catholic Church was telling the Taoiseach how he should live his life.
Fr Columba Nee said at no time has any Catholic bishop made a comment about Bertie Ahern's relationship with Celia Larkin and said Ms O'Donnell should withdraw her statement.
He said it was the Church of Ireland which had criticised the relationship and added once again the Catholic Church was being accused of something of which it was completely innocent.
