Search for bodies of Spanish fishermen resumed

Naval Service divers have resumed their search today for the bodies of six Spanish sailors who drowned when their vessel sank off the west coast last autumn.

The rescue operation was abandoned because of poor weather soon after the vessel went down on October 3.

Yesterday, the remains of a number of men were recovered and handed over to gardai.

Lieut-Commander Hugh Tully of the Naval Service said the search will continue as long as the weather allows.
