Murder accused "met victim on night of death"

The man accused of murdering a schoolgirl on a remote Co Galway foreshore in December 1998 told a friend he had been talking to her on the night of her death.

A jury at the Central Criminal Court has heard from a former friend of the accused about a phone call two days after the killing.
