Euro confusion expected for New Years Eve

There are fears of mass confusion over the introduction of the Euro at midnight on New Years Eve next.

Publicans say it will have enormous implications for them in terms of costs, security and education of the public.

Chief executive of the Vintners Federation, Tadg O'Sullivan, said pub owners will be at the coalface of the changeover from punts to Euros.
