Carlow stabbing victim named

The 17-year-old stabbed to death in Carlow early today has been named as Warren Slater.

He was apparently stabbed at a bedsit at Granby Row in the town shortly before 3.30 today.

A 20-year-old man was arrested shortly after the death and is being questioned by Carlow Gardai.

A post mortem is also being carried out.
