The 46th Eurovision Song Contest was won by Estonia by 198 votes, finishing ahead of hosts Denmark.

Ireland finished third from bottom with a miserable tally of just six points.

Dublin man Gary O’Shaugnessy failed to impress the Eurovision voters with a song entitled “Without Your Love”.

The result means that Ireland will not be taking part in the contest next year when it is held in Estonia.

Only the top 15 finishers are guaranteed a place in the competition next year.
