Protestor sets himself on fire outside Dáil

A man suffered superficial skin burns outside Dáil Eireann today after he set himself on fire, apparently in protest at the justice system's leniency towards sex offenders.

The unidentified man who was in his thirties or forties and carried a placard saying: '106 sex perverts allowed to roam free, 100 escape sex blacklist', set himself alight on Kildare St at around 3.30pm.
