Second victim of weekend's road accidents named

Two people have been killed already this bank holiday weekend.

The latest victims have been named by Gardai as 23-year-old Louise Annis, who died in an incident at Claregalway village, Co Galway and 29-year-old Yvonne McCarthy, who was killed in a crash on the Cork-Mallow road.

Their deaths bring the total number of people killed in road accidents to 124 this year, although this is a reduction of 17 victims from the same time last year.
