A plane, packed with holiday-makers bound for Spain, was forced to abandon take-off at Dublin Airport.

The Air 2,000 flight suffered what appears to have been an engine blow out with witnesses saying they saw sparks coming from the aircraft.

The flight did make it back to the terminal and passengers disembarked using the air bridge. Tenders from the airport's own fire service were in attendance.
